Allwyn J. Levine, MD, MPH is board certified and licensed in the states of New York and New Jersey in child, adult and forensic psychiatry. Dr. Levine has 35 years of experience evaluating and treating patients. In addition, he has served many times as a court appointed expert to testify in legal matters (civil, criminal), and is authorized by the New York Worker’s Compensation Board.
Dr. Levine graduated with his medical degree from State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo where he completed a medical internship. Thereafter, he served as Captain in the US Air Force Medical Corps and later Chief of Preventive Medicine at the US Army Hospital in Ft. Campbell, KY. At the University of Michigan’s Student Health Services in Ann Arbor, he was in general medical practice.
He continued his training in a Psychiatric Residency program at the Neuropsychiatric Institute at the University of Michigan, where he attained a Masters of Public Health in Community Psychiatry. Furthermore, Dr. Levine completed a Fellowship program at Children’s Psychiatric Hospital in the Child Analytic Study Program through the University of Michigan. Simultaneously, he was a consultant at the State of Michigan’s Forensic Center.
Dr. Levine is a member of prestigious medical organizations, including the American Psychiatric Association and American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
